Trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist my work is focused in a systemic modality incorporating Brief Treatment modality. Communication skills inclusive of CBT are included in my treatment. I work with individual, couples and families as well as extended family members in conflictual relationship with other family members. My specialties include trauma, PTSD, separation and loss, conflict resolution, parenting, child development and behavioral issues. I have worked with foster care, adoptive children, the elderly, DCF, military families and the juvenile court system for many years. Clients are encouraged to work on mutually agreed upon treatment goals with a variety of assignments between session including psycho education and various tools and resources to alleviate depression, anxiety, stress, emotional pain. To achieve better quality of life and to achieve autonomy.
